After death of first husband sail on the 16th November 1928 with her two sons, together with a 18 year old nurse Miss P.S.Holdom and her mother and half sister Sarah from Southampton on Union Castle line S.S. 'Kildonan Castle' bound for Cape Town, South Africa. Return to England on S.S 'Balmoral Castle' but disembark at the Island of Madeira on the 20th December 1928 with dying sister Sarah. Family arrive at Southampton on the S.S. 'Armadale Castle' on the 31st December 1928 with address given as 37 Elm's Avenue, Eastbourne.

1929 living at 99 Woodlands, Golders Green, London NW11. With an address in Brighton of 'The New Pier Tavern', 13 Preston Street, on the 19th April 1947 Sale to New York, USA from Southampton with daughter Hannah on SS Queen Elizabeth. Emigrate with son Joseph to Australia in 1963.
