Appeared on the stage, TV and Film. Started out as a cabbie in London. His first acclaimed role was in 1969 in the play 'The Royal Hunt Of the Sun' at the Hornchurch Repertory Company at the Queens Theatre. Broke into BBC TV in 1971 appearing as PC Drake in the crime series 'Softly Softly Taskforce' and was Terry Hughes the 'Cockney Cook' in 1979 series two of the BBC TV hit comedy 'Fawlty Towers'. Had many notable theatre perfomances at the Royal Court with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He was cast in films 'McVicar' and 'The Long Good Friday'.
