Take surname Abrahams from step father. Emigrate to Australia with mother & half sister Hannah Geller (nee Abrahams) and family. A graduate of RADA and change surname to James in Australia. Appeared in ‘Barrier Reef’ a 1970’s Australian TV show featuring the majestic barquentine 'New Endeavour', a 135 feet long windjammer and leading the cast as Joe James playing Ted King, captain of the ship. Also appeard in Number 96 a TV soap opera set in a block of flats in the inner-city Sydney suburb of Paddington.
