Sir Henry Aaron Isaacs was an English businessman and politician,

In 1862 Isaacs, who was also a member of the Liberal Party, was elected Common Councilor of the Aldgate district. In 1883, he became Alderman in the Portsoken district. In 1889 he became sheriff, in 1887 he was knighted . In 1889 he was elected Lord Mayor of London .

Isaacs was overseer of the Hambro Synagogue , the second oldest synagogue in London founded in 1707, was active as a freemason and was instrumental in the design of the Tower Bridge
